If you are really wanting to go through with getting a sex change and all of the hormones and stuff, then you should do it. To tell your parents, you should sit them down and explain to them calmly that you really cant be you without having the surgery and hormones. Maybe write them a letter and wait to see how they handle it. Then you could go from there. There is no easy way of telling a parent something like this. If you have made up your mind and you are old enough to do what you want then you just have to say it.
