Well, It can be scary... I remember when i first told my mum... I was 11, and blood started to come... I didn't know what it was, i thought i had some infection or something (even though i knew about periods then) I put some tissue paper in my pants. Then when i next went to the toilet the tissue was covered in blood... My best friend was outside and i told her what had happened (she was already on her periods) she told me i had started.
Basically get your mum in a quite place and tell her something has happened... Make sure no one is in the house as it can be embarrassing if someone bursts in and hears. Then just tell your mum what happened.
When i told mine she gave me a big hug and apologised.
I hope it goes well. Also if you didnt want to tell your mum to her face, you could tell a trusted sister or trusted family member who could tell your mum. Dont be afarid to, She went through thee same stage and im sure she had trouble telling her mum too. I hope my story and advice helped you.
Once you have your *period* your mom will give you a pad or tampon. She will tell you all about the period.
Well i came home from school and i told her that i got my period at school. She ran up to me and hugged be and said welcome to women hood. I just pulled her aside and said mom i have something to tell you. I said well i got my first period today. It is not that hard!
Talk to your Mom.

I just had my first period yesterday and i when my mom went to the shop i just left a note in her wallet to tell her to buy tampoons and she figured it out. you can also send her a text or just tell her.
Tell your mom as soon as you get a chance. She can only help. She is going through the same thing Tell your mom as soon as you get a chance. She can only help. She is going through the same thing
Ask to speak to your Mum in private as you have something to tell her.
Well she is your mom and i bet she had "the talk" with you and she was expecting you to tell her that you got it so just be honest and she will understand.
Do not be scared to tell your mom. She will help you learn how to take care of yourself and teach you what to do. There is NO reason to be scared to tell your mom. She knows it will happen soon and will not be mad at you, plus, she has been through it too.
A lot of girls have their periods around the same days as their mom's. Otherwise, you don't.
Just be honest with her ! Remember - she has been in exactly the same situation when she was your age !
Its a phrase is all I (Your MOM) can tell you!
