I was dating a man that was married. He swore to me on more than one occasion that although he was married, he and his wife lived separate lives and on the verge of divorce. I found out several weeks and a few "I love yous" later that he was lying. I saw several pictures of him and his wife on their website and on Facebook, together, not living separate lives. I was horrified and heartbroken because the only way I could justify seeing him was because I thought they were living separate lives. I was angry and eventually told his wife. I found her profile on Facebook and sent her an e-mail. I then mailed a packet of chat sessions to her so he couldn't lie his way out of it. I don't think she cared he was cheating. They aren't divorced but she didn't want to hear what he had been doing. I felt even worse after I told her but I thought if this happened to me I would want to know. He said I had rubbed her face in the details of the relationship. Although I knew it was cruel to send her so many explicit and intimate conversations I wanted her to have peace of mind and know who she is married to.
