Although I'm a guy and I don't wear Fubu, I can tell you that Trademarking comes into play here. A company such as one that makes fake Fubu has one goal: to get as close as legally possible to making Fubu so it looks like it. However, whenever something faux (fake in french) is being produced, you can never replicate the brand's image or you can be sued for it. Such as American Eagle, if you were to make the eagle on your faux American Eagle, AE could actually sue you for fraud and you'd be out of business. In simple terms, look at the tag of the person's clothes you suspect to be fake Fubu, with their consent of course. Don't go ripping off the back of their shirts to see. If it doesn't say Fubu, well, your question is already answered!
