Remove magazine. Pull slide back until slide serrations line up approximately with end of frame. Push in takedown catch and lift end of slide free of frame. Push slide forward off barrel. Ortgies reassemble easily once firing pin is held in check. Push firing pin spring and guide into firing pin until end of guide can be pushed into its notch in the top of slide. Hook slide over barrel, pull it to rear & downward. To remove grips (which is hardly ever necessary and may crack or damage the grips) insert a screwdriver into the magazine well and push grip latch which is on the inside of the backstrap in toward the backstrap. Use a flashlight to locate the release. At the same time push up back edge of grip and rotate them free of undercut on fron\t edge of grip. Any further questions e-mail me. These are excellent quality little pistols made in the 1920's and the ones I have perform very reliably. If you need parts for yours contact me.
