put the set of ribed jaws pointy end first down the barrel so that they protrude from the front end evenly. put the peice of steel that is mushroomed at one end that the spring fits over down the barrel mushroomd end first followed by the spring. align this into the top hole of the handle with the big open spring. push through short round lug with cut out aligning cut out with spring so that spring locates into cut out. this should now stay atached to handle. locate assembly into other handles outer sheath. put retaining pin and collat through to attach handles together. job done.
