No one deserves to be cheated on. if you have been faithfull 100% and they still cheat on you and you have a baby together the best thing for you and that baby is to leave him. he clearly doesnt respect you. you deserve so much more.

Possibly because he feels safe with her. He may be a type of guy who although he has no problem cheating, wouldn't like to be cheated on, and feels she's one who wouldn't ever do so. Also, if she's willing to forgive and take him back, he may feel once he's done sleeping with others, he has someone to settle down with set aside.
