Sometimes it's hard to tell, but it boils down to one thing ... how your girlfriend or boyfriend handles it if someone is trying to steal them from you. If you are honest, loyal, then NO ONE can steal you away from your girlfriend/boyfriend/wife or husband! Some signs are the opposite sex flirting with your partner and your partner lapping it up and flirting back. If your partner doesn't keep dates, doesn't answer the phone and has one too many excuses as to why they haven't called or emailed you at least. Sometimes it's better to look and listen than talk, so if you are suspicious keep your eyes wide open and your ears. If you think your partner is pushing the line, then tell them so and let them know in no uncertain terms you aren't putting up with it. YOU are in control!
He might think you are trying to steal him away from his girlfriend
You can't steal someone away from her boyfriend; she'll be with whom she pleases, so there is not point in trying. If she sees you as just a friend, you should respect her decision on that, and let her relationship be.
You don't. If somebody is in a relationship please, respect that. Respect that they're currently off limits. Respect that they're not available to you. Respect that their boyfriend/girlfriend will be uncomfortable that you guys talk or hang out alone a lot. Don't flirt with them 'cause that's disrespecting their relationship & their boyfriend/girlfriend. Let's say if they leave their boyfriend/girlfriend for you, how would you know if once they're yours, someone else won't come along & steal her away from you like what you're trying to do? Would you like that? No. So don't be a home wrecker.

If he's that fickle you had better just let him go, give your attention to someone who you can trust.
You cannot do that. If he does, he does. If he doesn't, he doesn't. Just be careful of girls that want to dissapoint you by trying to steal your boyfriend :)
You leave that person alone. Their relationship problems have NOTHING to do with you & they're none of your business. If somebody is in a relationship please, respect that. It doesn't matter if she likes you or not; you shouldn't have even asked her out knowing she's dating someone. If somebody is in a relationship please, respect that.
