How do you know when a guy likes you. basically i was put into a group with this guy that i like and he sat next to me and was trying to make conversation and at the beginning he kept looking at me?

What I used to do when I was interested in a girl was just that. I was (am) very shy. I guess it depends from guy to guy. But my rule of thumb is when there is frequent eye contact, that usually means that there is some interest. The best way to know for sure is when you 'catch' him looking at you, try and HOLD the eye contact and SMILE! If he smiles back or shyly smirks and looks away, that to me, would definitely mean that he would like to get to know you better, if you catch my drift.
