How do you know of a shy guy likes you?

When he's far away, he'll look at you without letting you know. If you quickly turn towards him, he will turn away quickly to prevent you from knowing that he was staring at you. Keep an eye on him and see if he does that.

When you are close to him, he may act "weird". If nobody else is talking to him, he will try to look "busy" (to hide his nervousness) by maybe playing with his cell-phone, playing with his watch, etc. Usually a shy guy will talk to everybody but you, to keep you from finding out that he likes you.

He may also try to be extra nice to people around you, like your friends and/or parents, etc. Shy guys do this because they believe that if he seems like a nice enough guy, the girl he likes may feel comfortable around him and talk to him. Keep an eye out for this behavior as well.

I'd say that if you notice those things mentioned above, you should try to talk to him. Don't ask yes/no questions, but instead ask questions that will require him to explain things. Like for example if you think he's good with computers, ask him how to remove a virus from your computer, etc. That way you will get him talking about something he's passionate about and he'll get so carried away that he'll forget about acting shy.

I know these things to be true because I am a shy guy myself, and I do the things that I mentioned when I am near the girl I like.
