It depends on the model. Some have a dial to adjust the power like the Airforce Condor or the Shinsuin, other like the Marauder do not have simple adjustment dial but can be adjusted with a tool. Each one is different so you have to read the Owners manual to see if it is possible. One simple method is to put some Pellgun oil on your pellets. This will increase the FPS. This even works on Non PCP air gun and rifles.
Please state the model you are inquiring about. Is this a C02 or a PCP (Precharged Pneumatic) air rifle?
Yes it's a Precharged Pneumatic Gun (PCPs).
Yes. Pump, Spring and PCP (PreCharged Pneumatic) are all more powerful than a C02 system
If you are talking about a PCP (PreCharged Pneumatic) rifle. With a .45 caliber pellet, then "Yes" It can. I don't believe there is a 40 Caliber pellet gun.
It depends on the model, wight of the pellet, shape of the pellet, length of the barrel, Power source, IE Pump, C02, Spring or PreCharged Pneumatic. (PCP) All these play a factor in the length of the shot. Anywhere from a few hundred feet to 1/2 a mile.
BB guns usually top out at around 550 to 600 FPS. But pellet rifles can attain a speed of over 1600 FPS, when shot by a PCP (PreCharged Pneumatic) rifle system.
A 50 caliber Pellet gun (rifle) is a precharged pneumatic air rifle. It uses a scuba tank or compressor to charge the rifle. It can fire up to a 50 cal pellet. Companies like Shin Sung and others make air rifles this large. You can find the on the web. Places like "Pyrmyd air" sell them.
No, not a retail pneumatic rifle. If there were, it would likely be illegal, or at least restricted.
I would not use anything smaller than an air rifle that shoots 45 caliber or 50 caliber. Both of these are PCP (PreCharged Pneumatic) air riles. Anything smaller and you may find you made a big mistake.
First lets clear something up. Most people equate Speed with Power, and that is a mistake. Any air rifle can fire a pellet very fast all you have to do is use a lighter pellet. Unfortunately lighter pellets are more effected by crosswind than heaver pellets that fly slower but straighter and have more knockdown power. Now when you say "Pneumatic" do you mean multi pump pneumatic like the Benjamin models or do you mean PreCharged Pneumatic (PCP) like the AirForce Condor. Multi pump pneumatics's will generally be less powerful than a high powered Springer. But PCP will be much stronger than a High powered springer because PCP's are charged to 3000 PSI and are capable of firing pellets up to 50 Caliber. Where as high powered springer's very rarely get above a .22 cal pellet.
It all depends on the Power-plant inside the air gun. The systems include, Pump, C02, Spring, Nirto and PreCharged Pneumatic. (PCP). PCP is the strongest system. It also depends on the weight of the pellet. Pellets come in different weights. With light ones traveling faster and slower ones traveling slower but hitting harder.
