You can only receive Wi-Fi if you are within range of a wireless router. To see if there are any wireless routers within range of your iPod. Go into "Settings" and "Wi-Fi" at the top. The available wireless routers in range of your device will then show up. Simply tap on the connection you want to connect to and you're done. You may be required to enter a password or WEP key if the router is protected.

∙ 10y agoIt is not possible to get free WiFi on your laptop everywhere you go. In order to gain access to free WiFi, you will need to find wireless hotspots that offer free WiFi. In this day and age, many public places do offer free Wifi. Usually you can gain access at coffee shops, bus stations and even shopping malls.
