Hey, everyone! I was waiting for this question to be asked all along.
Do you want to know how to fix your Screature? Then read on for a simple step by step guide on how to fix Screature!
Things you'll need:
Scissors
Drill
Philips Head Screwdriver
Dixie Cups
Nearby Sink
Steak Knife
Plastic Ziploc Bags for the pieces safe storage
Step 1: Lay Screature down on his right side.
Step 2: Using a Philips Head Screwdriver and a steak knife, search for circle or oval-shaped caps on him. They blend in with the skin, but are fairly noticeable. There should be one on his tail, one down by his butt area, and one in his torso area. What these do is they hide screws. Using the steak knife, stab it in the edge of the cap, and wiggle it out. These can be fairly hard, as it took me a good hour just to get all three removed. Unscrew the three screws with the screwdriver.
Step 3: Unscrew several more screws on his left side. There is one under his left leg, and some in between his two feet on the bottom. This will open him up.
Step 4: Look at his tube, starting in his plastic side, then going over to the mechanical side. Mine had a slight rip in the hose inside his leg. Check for any rips or kinks.
Step 5: Cut the hose if there is a kink or rip close enough to leave some spare slack on the hose. Using a drill, drill a hole in his plastic side to fit the hose through. Take a Dixie Cup and fill it up to the brim. Screw Screature back together. Do not put the caps back on yet, just in case. Get him in his usual spitting position. He will suck the water up. He may or may not spit. If he does spit, congratulations, you fixed him! If he doesn't spit, it may just be a sign that he is stashing up. Mine does this, do not worry if this is the case. If so, take your pointer finger and press it against the tube. Get him in his spitting position and keep your finger there until he is finished. You may find that he will spit if you do this. This just means that the suction needs to be closed off.
