Restore the iPod to the last restore point. You can do this in iTunes.
holding down the power button for an extended period of time
Well you do not list what is wrong with Safari. I would recommend you restart your MacBook and see if that solved the problem. If not, then open Safari and then click the name Safari at the top left of the screen and then click Reset Safari. On the window that comes up check every single item and then click Reset. Also click Safari and then click Preferences >> Extensions. Uninstall any extension you do not want. Extensions can cause problems especially if they are not an extension approved by Apple. Now on the same Preferences screen click the Privacy tab and click Remove all Website Data.
The Glims plug in for Safari (See links below) adds a Full Screen option to the Safari menu.
If you know that it still has battery, try holding down the power switch for about 15-20 seconds to let it reset, and then be patient. Let it be for a while, and it should reboot and no longer be frozen.
A boot that is frozen in computer language means that a computer started to boot but the screen froze during the boot process. If this happens it might fix the problem if the computer is unplugged for a few seconds and then restarted in Safe Mode.
Hold down the home button and the off button for about 3 seconds and an apple will appear on the screen. When it let's you on, the app should be loaded
first you hold down the power switch for 20 seconds, if that does not work than try pugging it into an outlet.
If the screen is actually broken, then you'll need to take it somewhere to be fixed by a specialist. If the screen is just frozen, then let the iPod play until the battery runs out. Then charge it, and the screen should work again. This is a common problem with mp3 players.
You choose what it does. When you click Reset Safari you will be given choices as to what you want to do. Click Reset Safari and then form the screen that comes up make your choices which is pretty self-explanatory.
