How do you disassemble and repair a Remington model 24 rifle. It is a breakdown version and it is quite loose at that joint. Any thoughts on repairs?

Are you sure you have all the pieces? It's quite common that people loose the barrel take-up lock that fits in the channel in the receiver, without that it'll wiggle no matter how tight you make it. I believe Numrich has a diagram of parts on-line (e-gunparts.com) I would check you have all that first and you might head over to the Remington Society of America forums for more help.
