Another answer: There is a small notch on the left hand side of the slide just below the "A" in "MADE IN France". Pull the slide back about 1 1/2 inch and push the safety from the safe position up into the small notch on the slide as you hold the slide back. With the slide now held back you can now just push back on the barrel to release it from the frame, moving the safety lever down will release the slide from the frame. USDF
