ALL INFO IS ACCORDING TO THE LATEST iTunes UPDATE AS OF MAY 21, 2009! I've looked all over the internet for the answer to this question (I even called the local Apple Store and the technical support center.) After failing at every suggestion (mind you, they were all submitted around 2006), and being told by both Apple technicians it was impossible, I found the way. It's quite simple, actually; here's how to do it: 1. Create a playlist from which you want to burn a CD. (Name it whatever you want) 2. Add all of the music that you want to be on the CD. 3. Sort the playlist in whatever way you want to navigate the finished CD (i.e. Artist, Album, Genre, etc.) 4. Click on "Burn Disc" at the bottom right corner of the window. This will bring up a "Burn Settings" window; click on "Burn Data CD or DVD", this instructs iTunes to burn the CD in accordance with the navigation structure you have dictated. Then you would obviously click "Burn". 5. Once the burn process is completed, test the MP3 CD in your MP3 compatible CD player. Read the instruction manual of the CD player to figure out how to navigate the folders, because all CD players navigate differently. *PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR CD's IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN MP3 COMPATIBLE CD PLAYER! CHECK ALL LABELS ATTACHED TO THE CD PLAYER FIRST TO BE SURE; IT WILL SIMPLY READ "MP3". **Some MP3 players will not navigate folders. Double check to make sure yours can.

On iTunes select "Preferences", click "Advanced", then click "Burning", select "Audio CD" for format and click "OK". Select the playlist and click "Burn Disc". In iTunes open the CD and click "Convert Selection to MP3". The files will then be converted and saved to the computer in the MP3 format.
