Unless the issues are about sexuality, pretty much the same as any other teen. Of course, the issues are almost always about sex, so...

1. Do not judge -- the homosexuality isn't going to go away, or change.

2. Remember that homosexuality is never the problem! It's the reaction to homosexuality that's the problem.

3. If you do not agree with the first two points, don't even try to counsel the teen. Instead, refer the teen to a therapist who is gay or gay-friendly. And thank you for caring!
