The Western Auto company did not MAKE firearms, but like many retailers, had firearms made under their name by gun makers such as Savage, Marlin, Springfield, etc.

Revelation was the "store brand" used by Western Auto stores. Several companies made guns for Western Auto, and marked them with the Revelation brand rather than Winchester, Savage, Marlin, High Standard. etc.
Westernfield was the trade name used by Montgomery Ward for firearms sold by them. They were made by different makers- Winchester, Marlin, Savage, Mossberg, etc. Sears did the same thing under the JC Higgins name, Western Auto under the Revelation name, etc.
The Western Auto Model 205 30-30 was manufactured by Marlin Firearms Company between 1946 and 1950. Therefore, it would be around 70-75 years old.

Western Auto never made rifles- or shotguns. A number of gun makers- notably Savage, Springfield, Mossberg, Marlin and Winchester made what were known as "Hardware" guns. Rather than being marked as a Savage or Marlin, they were marked with Western Auto's brand- Revelation. Western Auto quit carrying firearms in the late 60s/ early 70's if I recall correctly, after the 1968 Gun Control Act went into force.
