there are 2 main channels and 2 monitor channels on the rear of the unit. If you want to use it in stereo mode you connect one cable to the far left, the first main input, then connect the other cable to the far right, the second monitor input. Make sure that the stereo button is in the out position on the front of the amp and your good to go. Hook to channels 7 and 8 for stereo sweetness. I do not use monitors when I run it in stereo mode. The other option is to hook your left speaker to the far left input, the laft main input, then connect the right cable to the right main input, second input located right next to the far left. If you want monitors, plug them in the third and fourth inputs, which are the monitor channels. Make sure the stereo button on the front is in the in position or not in stereo mode. That is what works for me. Daisy chain multiple speakers to each other if you want to expand beyond the 4 inputs. Hope this helps someone.
