Check that the gun is unloaded. Open the cylinder. Use a flat tipped punch in the hole in the front of the frame just below the ejector rod. Press the spring loaded link pivot pin and hold it, while sliding the cylinder assembly free of the frame.
Smith & Wesson did not make the Double-Nine. High Standard did, and it was available with two cylinders. One was a .22LR cylinder the other was chambered in .22 Magnum. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Must be inspected by a good gunsmith.
the R-107 was made for .22 LR only I believe. the R-106 had dual cylinders for it. I would contact High Standard and find out. But from what I know, High Standard R-107 didn't come with a Magnum Cylinder.
$325 in excellent down to $55 in poor condition. Add $45 if you have both cylinders and $20 more if it is nickel plated instead of blued.
One website says the High Standard Double Nine W-100 series was manufactured in 1958, the first year of that model.
