First of all, one "rips" media onto the computer. "Burning" is when creating a new CD or DVD. In order to "rip" a DVD onto your computer, you must first have a drive capable of reading DVD's. One cannot just use their CD reader for this. You might also need some software in order to process this information that is being downloaded.
Copy the DVD onto your computer and then open iTunes. Click file and then click add file to library. Locate the DVD that you copied to your computer and double click it. iTunes should do the rest.
No for iTunes itself. But you can try the third party software. Since iTunes movies videos are under DRM protection, it won't let you burn to DVD, so what you need to do is to remove DRM protection and then burn to DVD.
Movie from iTunes store has DRM copyright protection, you can only play it on your computer or Apple portable player. If you want to burn it to DVD to play on TV, you have to remove the DRM at first, and then convert and burn it to DVD. I recommend this software for you to burn it to DVD. It works pretty well for me with high speed and great output quality! Free download in the link.
It depends on how much storage is on your Mp3 player, and also if the DVD has an anti-burn device on it. If the DVD does, you cannot burn it onto your computer. And if you don't have enough storage or a screen for your Mp3, you cannot.
I think one can burn it to disk if one has the proper program.
You might be getting mixed up with a CD but if you are using a DVD then that will not work. You can only put music on a CD. If you are using a CD then get a programme which will "burn" your CD (itunes will do that) and when your music is on your laptop go onto the program and burn it onto a new CD.

I bought dvd+r and I loaded a video onto my computer and when I try to burn it and put it on the dvd+r it wont let me what can I do?
Regardless of your operating system you need to "master" the DVD in order to use it in a DVD player. On Windows, insert a blank DVD into a DVD-writable drive and allow the computer to ask what you want to do. Tell the computer to "Burn a DVD video disc," add the files that you want to burn onto the DVD. After the files are encoded, the files are burned onto the DVD and finalized (the reason why it is called "mastered"). The disc is now playable on a DVD player. On Mac OS X, insert a blank DVD into your computer's DVD-writable drive or SuperDrive and open iDVD. Follow the wizard or create a custom disc and click the "Burn" button on the bottom of the window. After the disc is burned (and technically finalized), the DVD is able to be used in DVD players.
