Remove Magazine 2. Locate takedown marks on the left side of the slide and frame. they are near the hammer. 3. pull back the hammer. 4. align the takedown marks. 5. Pull the takedown lever out completely ( this is also the slide stop) 6. Pulling the trigger with one hand slide the barrel/slide assembly forward and off the receiver. 7.hold the slide upside down remove the recoil spring guide from its retaining hole 8. remove the barrel. Do not take it down further.
