Here is a simple way to do this and it takes some of the "fear" away. Have a group date. Get a group of your friends together and invite the girl as part of the group. Go to a movie and get a Pizza. This way you can talk with her, get to know her, and find out if she would like to go on a one to one date with you. All the pressure is off of you with a first date like this and you can spend time with her. After call her up and invite her out because you will know for sure she will go out with you.
