The 310 BB Rifle had a rear Sight with knurled knobs to adjust the sight. But first there is something you should know. The rifle is capable of shooting not only BB's but also .177 caliber pellets. The rifle has a smooth bore barrel, not a rifled barrel so it is a little less accurate than a rifled boar air gun. Also BB are less accurate than pellets by nature, because BB's tumble as they fly through the air. Pellets are more stable in flight than BBs.
To sight the rifle aim at a target about 20 feet away from you. I suggest using a rest like a table. Aim at the target and fire. If you strike left of the target then move your rear sight adjustment to the right and try again. Do the opposite if the strike is to the right of the target, then move the rear sight to the left.
It's the same for up / down. If you strike up, then move the sight down and reverse if it's too low.
As a final note use the pellets to sight the rifle they will be more accurate. I suggest using match or wadcutter pellets they make a clean hole in the target. Also use Crosman Competition wadcutter pellets they are very accurate.
You don't find pellets for the Benjamin model 310 because it is designed to shoot BB's only, not pellets. The model 312 shot .22 caliber pellets and the model 317 shot .177 caliber pellets but the 310 only shot BB's.
it's worth $25 - $35
The Benjamin model 310 is part of a series of rifles that included: 310 BB rifle 317 .177 pellet rifle 322 .22 pellet rifle All were made from 1940 to 1969 Today Crosman owns Benjamin and Sheridan air gun's, see the link below for a partial list of Dates of Manufacture. The Benjamin model 312 was part of the 310 series of rifles that included 310, 312, and 317. They came in .177 and .22 caliber. Production started with the model 310 in 1940 and ended with the model 317 in 1969, the 312 fell somewhere in the middle of that time period
Where do I buy Benjamin Air rifle repair parts? Model 310 and 310
Most likely around late 1956 according to Crosman who owns Benjamin.
This model 310 was made in 1957
Let me guess your Rifle is either a model 310, 312 or 317. It was made in 1965
It's a BB/175 smoothe boar made from 1940 to 1969.
I find two interesting points about this question. The Benjamin model 312 is part of the Benjamin 310 series of rifles 310, 312, 317 made between 1940 and 1969. If there is credit given why is it only on the .22 caliber version, and the second question is. Crosman didn't own Benjamin until 1992 so why would they give credit on such an old air rifle that they were not responsible for making. On Crosmans web site there is NO mention of any type of credit for this model.
your model 310 was made between 1972-1975.
If it's not on the breech or barrel then it's a good chance there is none. For a time back in the 40's that Benjamin did not put any serial numbers on air guns. I also own one that has no serial number.
