the reason why they pop off is because there is a plastic clip that locks the plugs in to the socket that has been broken off. its normally on the right side of the of the plug.

open the door. to the edge there will be a black cap. pop that off. you will need a extension with a 10mm socket. you will have to pop the door panel off to get to the other one. its the same thing. then you will have to take your linkages out so you can get the door handle right out.
