So... i am just about to do that and i have a perfect plan that i would like to share with you. Sometimes boys are hard to talk to. Especisally in my case, all the drama and other girls that like him..ugh.. too much to handle. But, there is a way it can be done. you find a way to pull him aside. Make it obvi to him that you are about to ask him something...even better...once you pull him aside tell him you are going to ask him something. Start off by saying there's this guy...then go on with how much this guy is so nice and awsome and whatever reasons u may have. then when you are done with this story say this guys is you. and say "i was hoping this guy would say yes when i asked him out so i decided to do that....now"
