They told stories and sometimes at the end of a day or a week they danced and prayed, on Sundays they held church but it was very early in the morning as the slave masters didn't want church to get in the way of their work hours. The masters didn't mind when they danced at night and told stories around a fire or something similar as long as they could still work in the mornings and none ran away, also if it didn't affect the masters then they were fine to carry on. I hope this helps, it's what I've beed learning at school so I just put down what I remember :)
