I say, a lover and a fighter are the same thing. A lover loves for the glory of it and a fighter fights for the glory of it. A lover relishes the process of love. For example; pampering the object of his affection, spending time with her, making love to her from head to toe, learning the right things to make her happy, getting to know her deep down to her soul, and growing with her through the good times and bad, and never gives up even at the darkest hour, a lover learns from his heartbreaks. A fighter relishes the process of fighting. For example; training for his fight against his opponent, studying his opponent and learning his tendencies and weaknesses, and finally the fight itself, countering his opponent's moves, taking the hits and delivering hits, and when the fight looks like it's going to be lost, he reaches deep down inside and comes up off the mat stronger than he's ever been and win or lose; gives his opponent the best fight he's ever had. And he learns from his losses Even though they both may lose from time to time, they keep slugging away at it.
There is another type of person though, I'll call this third type a killer. He does not value spending time to achieve his objective. He only cares about the end result. He dosen't want a challenge, he wants it to be easy. He never gives, he only takes. You'll know him right away by the superficiality of his character.
