To tell if your ipod touch 2G is a MC model, go to settings - General - About and scroll down till you see 'Model'. if the code begins with the letters 'MC' then you have a MC model.
An ipod 2G MC model comes with the newer 3.1.3 / 3.1.2 / 3.1.1 software. there is virtually no difference except for the MC model is harder to jail break. to check if your ipod Touch 2G is an MC model, go to SETTINGS, GENERAL, ABOUT. scroll down till you see 'Model'. is the code next to it begins with the letters MC, then it is an MC Model.
yes with jailbreakme.com
i made a video on youtube how to jailbreak ipod touch 1g,2g,3g 3.1.3 mc model Link in related links below.
No
Using redsnow because jailbreakme.com does not work
If you have an MC model and are on a 3rd Generation model then nope. If u are on a 2 gen then yep, youtube it
I want to know this also because Just updated my ipod touch 2g mc model and I was wondering what it can do on the new 4.2.1
no!No!No!
MC model are ipod or iphone of a late model, while MC are a new model. the problem with the new model it's unjailbreakable yet. it has a chip inside that prevent it to be downgraded. So if jailbreak is of no concern of your. go for MC it's faster than the non MC. If you want to jailbreak it and be free of itune store go for non MC
you can't as of now. all you can do is to wait for Jailbreakme.com to program something to get around the 4.1 updates
Yes you can...pinkra1n.tk is the only place so far
Depends on model. if 2g mb model or older just hole shift and click restore it will ask for you to browse for firmware if mc model or 3rd gen then you must have shsh blobs saved
