You stop having sex with him - it's not a good idea to have sex with someone if you don't know this and haven't discussed what the relationship is about, even if it is just for sex he should still care enough about you to respect you and care for your health as your sexual partner. If you want more than just sex you talk to him about it, and if you can't tell from that if he cares about you or if you still doubt it then you move on.
