According to the terms of use, anyone under 13 years of age can not have access to facebook in any which way or form. If you are from 13 years to 17 years then you can have a facebook account but the things you can access are limited. If you are 18 years and over then you can have your own account and acces anything on facebook. Most people prefer that way. If you just write in that you were born in 1990, then you can pretend to be 18. nobody will see your age on your account anyways. Thousands of kids these days have facebook. Even under 13 years old so I personally think it would be fine for him to make himself an account and add all his friends from school, family, etc. If he goes on Facebook's site there is a box called sign up. It's pretty straight forward from there. He just needs to have an e-mail account. The site you should go on is facebook.com. Good Luck!
