In newer versions of Chrome:
1. Make sure the bookmarks bar is on (you can switch it on-off by pressing ctrl+B)
2. Right-click on the bar
3. Click on Add Page
4. Fill in Name and URL and click OK
In older versions of Chrome:
Click the star to the right of the "home" (little house shape) icon at the top of the page.
