If the song from iTunes is protected then it cannot be imported into Garageband but other song files in the MP3, AAC, WAV or AIFF format can be dragged into Garageband's timeline to import them.

From Garageband's Share menu select Export Song to Disk.... And then select MP3 Encoder from the Compress Using option. Click on the Export button and then give your song a name and decide where to save it.
Unless its some unknown garage band there seems to be no group called "The Specs" unless you are abbreviating something. There IS a ska version of Frank Sinatra's "Coffee Song."
