If you wait until it is over it is to late, instead explain to her that its a natural thing that happens to women. Usually schools teach this to kids during sexual education. Your child may feel embarrassed, as will you, but it's imporatnt that you are calm and tell her how to deal with it. i.e. take feminax for strong period pain and using tampons. Good luck!
