How big is the biggest pregnant belly ever recorded?

really big...=I don't think it'll ever be known what woman has had the biggest ever pregnant belly in all of history. However, there have been several outstanding examples that have certainly been recorded for posterity. One such case was in Germany in the early 15th Century, when a housewife with a name like Bertha or Birghita was pregnant with 9 babies. She became so gigantic in her 3rd trimester that she could barely stand up, and could only walk by supporting her stomach with a large wooden hoop that she wore across her shoulders. Her children had to be delivered by Caesarean- half of them didn't survive, and she herself only barely pulled through. She was pictured in a wooden etching that was done of her at the time by one of her doctors- she must've had a terrible time of it, poor lady.==In more modern times, I remember reading accounts of an Indian farmer's wife in the 1920s who reported to be astonishingly massive- that had a happier outcome, she was only expecting triplets and both she & her babies all survived healthily. There was also a similar case reported in Russia in the late '40s. My mum had various female friends in the '70s & '80s who got spectacularly massive, far bigger than average pregnancy size (ironically, one of them was a doctor!), and although their size was unusual, it was (and is) far from unique. So I don't think anyone will ever know who had the fattest pregnant tummy of all time, or when.....Photographic evidence cannot be relied upon in this day & age, since modern computer technology makes it possible to 'morph' images to make a woman look way bigger than she really is (or is even physically possible).==Belly size in pregnancy depends upon a number of factors- how large or small the mother is, how wide or narrow her hips are, how big her unborn baby grows, and how much water she holds in her womb to cushion the child (some women produce far more fluid than others). A lot of pregnant women who blow up to be colossal, end up having only average-size babies, and their huge size is caused by the fact that they retain a lot more fluid in their uterus than is usual. In addition, some women eat enormously during pregnancy, and somehow develop a much bigger stomach capacity than they would normally have during their gestation period. They are thus able to put away enormous amounts of food in one sitting, which naturally swells them up beyond normal pregnancy size. The huge dimensions of some pregnant women, may well be at least in part due to their having recently gorged themselves to excess!!=
