They are pretty accurate, but she should wait a few days to a week and take another one. If she still hasn't had a regular period, she should go to a doctor. Stress can cause irregular periods. Good luck!
Hey there. I missed my period for a whole month and was 2 weeks late after that. I took the EPT test and 1 out of 2 came back positive. I went for a blood test today. From what I know the tests are accurate. The only way you will get a false reading is if you wait to long to read the test or if an evaporation line shows up. (an evaporation line is a faint colorless line that shows up if the test has been sitting to long. It some times can be read as a positive. so the only 100% sure way to know is wait a while then get a blood test.
Hope it helped.
It's probably just a bit irregular and off schedule. Or, it could be the test was wrong. I would check with a doctor if you really believe your pregnant, otherwise, just buy another test, or wait out until your period comes.
The larger the sample size, the more accurate the test results.
Is it possible that you could be pregnant? If so, these could be pregnancy symptoms. Take a pregnancy test. If not, it's unlikely to be something to worry about, but if your next period is missing or unusual you should see a doctor
A longer, heavier period can indicate a luteal phase defect and/or lack of progesterone. You might talk with your DR concerning a progesterone regiment. This can make your cycles easier and shorter. Also, a heavier/longer period can indicate an early missed miscarriage. If in doubt, check with your Dr who can give you an early ultrasound and blood test to see what is going on. It can also be a uterine fibroid.
As part of a paternity test it includes a probability value to determine the probability that the man in question is biological father or not. If the probability value is 99.99% and the mother, child and man in question have all been tested then the man is the father. If it is less than that then the man is not the father. It is impossible to get a probability value of 100% unless every man in the world were tested. As it stands a paternity test is as accurate as its probability value. Therefore a paternity test with a probability value of 99.99% has a 99.99% chance of being correct. A paternity test is very accurate and does a great job of showing a childs genetic parents. The test is 99.9% accurate.
