Unfortunately passing tissue is the main sign of a miscarriage seeing that I have been through two of them. The good thing is is that it will not effect getting pregnant again. I just had a miscarriage January 5, 2009, I went back for my check up and there was another sack. I was pregnant again!! Don't let it get you down too much what was ment to be will happen.... The best of luck to you:}

Is there any way to tell the difference between normal spotting during pregnancy and bleeding due to a miscarriage?

Not really. If you are bleeding, you should see a doctor. It could be nothing and it could be serious. Most likely with a miscarriage you will have pain in your stomach and the blood will be chunky, but not always. I'd see a doctor if I were bleeding any amount at all, with or without pain.

Can vaginal bleeding be a problem during pregnancy?

Yes it can be an indicator of a miscarriage or placenta abrupture. However a small amount of spotting is not always a sign of serious trouble - it should be reported to your doctor or midwife.

How do you tell the difference between a miscarriage and a period... Can a miscarriage have light bleeding instead of heavy?

Well, the difference is in the amount of pain you experience. Miscarriage hurts more according to all the experts in this field. Hope this helps

If you have a miscarriage what's the least amount of time of pregnancy before you would need to go to a doctor for him to clean you out?

I am sorry to hear of your loss. It is not really an amount of time, but how complete the miscarriage is. The earlier the miscarriage the more likely it is to be complete. If you lose what appears to be a complete sac and the bleeding and cramps are no worse than a period then you can deal with this at home. If bleeding and/or cramps are severe either go to the doctor or to the emergency department of a hospital.

Is it possible to bleed because of a miscarriage?

It can be a sign of a miscarriage or it can just be "normal" bleeding. If you are bleeding, you should see a doctor as soon as possible. With a miscarriage the bleeding is usually "chunky" and you have cramps, but not always. It could be a sign of miscarriage if its heavy bleeding like a period i had a miscarriage 2 months ago and mine started out with mild cramps then i started to sopt brown and then i was bleeding like a normal period and a few hours later the cramps got really bad talk to your doctor about this. Dont worry to much over it some women do spot when they are pregnant. Good Luck!

Is brown bleeding normal in early pregnancy?

It may not be. That was my only symptom and I was having a miscarriage. It can be a very small amount and still be a sign of miscarriage. You should tell your doctor so they can check on the status of the pregnancy.

Is the baby alive if you are eight weeks pregnant and having light bleeding?

It is impossible to say, but bleeding does not always mean that a miscarriage is inevitable. Many women bleed and it eventually settles, while in other cases it does not but increases and becomes accompanied by cramps.

What are the signs of miscarriage?

Bleeding (usually heavy) maybe some cramping == == This bleeding may or may not be accompanied by crampy pains - a bit like period pains, or the bleeding can continue on for several days before the more serious pains kick in. Also be aware that this bleeding does not necessarily mean you will miscarry - I have always had bleeding in pregnancy and it has gone both ways.If the bleeding does continue to the stage of being an 'inevitable' miscarriage, then expect quite strong pains and an increase in the amount of blood loss. Clots - sometimes quite large - can be lost. Occasionally you may see the baby, which sounds scary but isn't so bad when it comes to it.

Pain and bleeding at 14 weeks whats happing to me?

You need to call your doctor or midwife, to see if they want you to be evaluated. Depending on the amount of bleeding and the severity of the pain, you could be having a miscarriage or you could be having placenta issues. Bleeding and cramping in the second trimester is not normal.

Is bright red bleeding during 6 weeks pregnancy leads to miscarriage?

It is not uncommon to bleed during the first weeks of pregnancy. Often it will settle, or it may continue on to a miscarriage, and the bleeding become heavier and be accompanied by cramps. To be on the safe side, take it easy, and see a doctor if it seems to be more than just a small amount, is increasing, or you develop a fever.

Can you go through a miscarriage for several weeks?

Normal bleeding can last for 1-4 weeks but if you are worried or if it goes on longer or you bleed the same amount the whole time you should to see a doctor.
