H Nock London Fine Twist. I inherted a double barrell shotgun and the only markings on the gun is H. Nock London Fine Twist. It is percussion type. What year was it made?

: Henry Nock was one of the finest gunmakers in London at the end of the eighteenth century. He died in 1804. His son Samuel Nock took over the business. The percussion lock was patented in England in 1806. This does not mean that the gun dates from after 1806 because percussion guns were known before that date. A reasonable estimate would be between 1790 and 1810.
