There are many differences between the movements of a cloud and an animal, the biggest being that a cloud is not a living organism. Unlike a living animal a cloud can not choose when and how it will move, it is pushed along by the force of wind. An animal chooses when to move using its brain and motor skills.

The difference between the movement of an animal and the movement of a cloud is that an animal knows it is moving. You see, clouds do not have brains, muscle, and motive like an animal does. From my own personal experience, my dog will jump and chase a squirrel. She moves towards the squirrel because she has a high prey drive and it is an instinct to chase. Clouds do not move on their own. The wind moved clouds and the clouds do not know why they are moving. I hope this helps!

The movement of a cloud and the movement of an animal are fundamentally different in nature:

  1. **Cloud Movement**:

    • **Passive and Aerial:** Clouds are made up of water droplets or ice crystals in the atmosphere. They are passive and move with the air currents and wind patterns. Clouds are not self-propelled; their movement is entirely dependent on atmospheric conditions.

    • **Influence of Weather Patterns:** Clouds move in response to weather patterns and wind direction. They can be carried by prevailing winds, jet streams, or other atmospheric factors. Clouds can be transported over large distances based on these factors.

    • **Lack of Volition:** Clouds have no consciousness or volition. They don't have intent or the ability to change their course or speed based on their surroundings.

  2. **Animal Movement**:

    • **Active and Purposeful:** Animals are living organisms with the ability to move independently. They have a purpose in their movement, such as seeking food, shelter, mates, or avoiding danger. Animal movement is driven by internal motivations and instincts.

    • **Adaptability:** Animals can change their movement patterns based on their needs and environmental cues. They can adapt to changing conditions, make decisions, and respond to their surroundings.

    • **Consciousness and Behavior:** Animals have consciousness and exhibit behaviors that are often complex and can involve decision-making, learning, and social interactions.

In summary, the primary difference between the movement of a cloud and the movement of an animal is that cloud movement is passive and entirely dependent on atmospheric conditions, while animal movement is active, purposeful, and driven by the organism's biological and behavioral characteristics.
