The firm of Francois Dumoulin & Sons has been a maker of firearms in Leige, and now Herstal Belgium since the late 1800s. Below is a link to their company website. They may be able to provide you with additional information on your shotgun.
The bore of a barrel is the inside of it.
Grooves cut into the inside of a gun barrel for the purpose of spinning the bullet when fired.
The Sleeve is the tube that covers the REAL barrel on the rifle. It protects the barrel from damage. It's nothing more than a hollow tube surrounding the real barrel inside.
The outside dimension of a barrel is simply the diameter. The traditional inside measurement of a rifled barrel is caliber and the traditional inside measurement of a smoothbore (shotgun) barrel is gauge. Strictly speaking, smoothbore gauges are not diameters. Gauge number is the number of round balls fitting the bore that can be made from a pound of lead.
On the INSIDE of the barrel, they are called grooves. Together with the ungrooved areas, called lands, they make up rifling. On the OUTSIDE of the barrel, they are called flutes. These are cuts made in the barrel to make it lighter.
Would need to know the other markings as well.
ELG inside an oval is a Belgian proofmark.
inside reciever stamped: 4256 D C
hash marks or lines running parallel with the casing, caused by the inside of the barrel of the gun as the bullet travels out when fired
A double barreled bat is the same as a double walled bat. The barrel (the part where the ball hits the bat) contains a smaller barrel inside it's hollow compartment. This gives it more umph when the ball hits the bat because of the 'trampoline effect'.
The bore of a barrel is the inside of it.
One difference is that the inside of a shotgun barrel is smooth and the inside of a rifle barrel is what they call "fluted" which puts rotation on the bullet as it moves though the barrel.
Depends on what's inside the barrel
No, there is no difference between an inside and outside barrel. Doran is an idiot
Simple, it it is a true barrel simple find the measurement from inside to inside of your barrel and divide by 2. IF it is not a perfect half circl barrel or true barrel, simple find your chord (measurement inside to inside) and find your rise. Once you have these measurements you can use your diameter formula to figure the radius
somewhat dark and dirty. just think what the inside of a barrel would look like if you built a fire in the barrel......................
On the inside of the blade near the pivot.
