I don't like being called babe. I find it patronizing. It could simply be that your relationship has gotten more personal. My sister had an ex that constantly called her babe and never actually called her by her name. Even after years. But he wasn't the best boyfriend in the world. Often times nothing shows more that you care, than when you bothered remembering their name, lol :)
