I am a parent and I give my kids presents.
I can only speak for my self, I think.
The best thing to do is check the label.
If it says Santa, great.
My wife and I always label our presents as from us.
If you want to be sure who the presents are from, tell your parents that you want them to label presents they are giving with their names and not write "From Santa". Then, any presents that says "From Santa" ... hmm

You don't really need to know that Santa isn't "real" unless you are a parent who has to buy presents and then you become one of many Santa's out there. Who says Santa isn't real?!
