They found no significant differences between the health histories of those who smoked pot versus those who did not smoke marijuana.

A layman's answer: No! It is well known that marijuana use raises heart rate. That being said, how can it be good for the heart? Like being found not guilty does not mean innocent, likewise, not being bad for the heart does not necessarily mean being good for the heart. Perhaps a different answer to a rephrased question.

no marijuana is one of the safest illict drugs. it does increase heart rate and blood pressure but it cannot directly stop your heart.
