well, first off you need to get some money, courses are pricey. after that, well you need a Private Pilot License, and a Commercial Pilot License, from there you can start working as a pilot. Later on, you would probably want to get an Instrument Rating so that you can fly in tough weather.. the rest is more complicated but you will see when you start learning to become a pilot. good luck.
You will need a pilots license, ID/passport to fly into Canada or Mexico.
No, John Travolta is NOT licensed to pilot a Boeing 727! He is a private pilot and do have a rating to fly as a SIC (second in command), co-pilot or First Officer (different names on the same thing!) on his Boeing 707! The rating as a SIC in a 707 gives him the privileges to act as the same in the much rarer Boeing 720 but NOT in a 727!
To fly an aircraft you just need a student pilot CERTIFICATE. Everyone thinks that it's a license.
you pilot a plane
Say your pilot who flies an ultalight. It is illeagle to fly an ultralight in a storm and you need to avoid them while you fly.
Technically a pilot is anyone who has flown an airplane. In the USA, there are several different levels of pilot certificates. They go:Student Pilot Certificate (can fly solo with a flight instructor signoff)Private Pilot Certificate (can fly with passengers, not for hire)Commercial Pilot Certificate (can fly for hire)Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (can fly as a captain for charter and airline operations)So a "pilot" is not necessarily better or worse than a private pilot.
You can't really go anywhere to do this because there are so few blimps flying, it would be impossible to justify opening a blimp school. Obviously you've got to learn to fly a blimp somehow, and this is how it's done. The first step is to get a pilot's license for multiengine fixed-wing aircraft. You technically only need a Commercial rating, but the blimp operator will only hire you if you have an Air Transport Pilot rating. So go out and get one of those. You then find one of the very, very few blimp pilot openings. Once you've got a job as a blimp pilot, they'll teach you to fly it. Or you can buy one, and they'll teach you to fly it. But that's really expensive.
flying is one you also need to like to study there are a lot of rules to learn to fly safely
a commercial pilots license, also known as an airline transport pilots license. Actually, a commercial license and airline transport license are two different things. To fly a jet, practically you should a Private Pilot license, Instrument Rating, Multi Engine license and Commercial license. If the jet is above 12,500 lbs you will also need a type rating for that specific jet which you would be given also by a check examiner.
He was the first pilot to fly pilot to fly by himself.
A private pilot is licensed to fly for pleasure or business. This is an entry level license, which requires less than 100 hours flight time and demonstration of basic knowledge and skills. A commercial pilot can fly for hire. This would include instructors, crop dusters, glider tow pilots, and some charter pilots. It requires more than 200 hours flight time and more basic knowledge and skills. An air transport pilot can fly airliners. This is a much more complicated license requiring a more stringent physical examination, and some very demanding flight examinations. Each airliner a pilot flies requires a type rating. There are other ratings pilots can obtain, including an instrument rating and a multi-engine rating. Pilots may also obtain glider ratings if they are so disposed. A commercial glider pilot would likely be an instructor. There are also certified flight instructor ratings of various types. That's more than you asked for. Sorry. It's been a while since I've had to deal with these things, so I am not up to date on the numbers of hours for each rating, but I think you could find those in wikipedia if you need them. By the way, I hold a commercial pilot's license with an instrument rating, but am not currently flying. A license is not valid unless you also have a valid medical certificate. So my license and rating are not valid at this time.
