In India Santa is called Father Christmas or simply Santa by the Christians who celebrate Christmas in the country.
Egypt does not celebrate Christmas.
They do not celebrate Christmas because they do not believe in Jesus however they do celebrate New Years like we celebrate Christmas here...in Turkey Santa is called Noel Baba in fact Santa Claus was born in Turkey. Even though they do not celebrate Christmas they put up decorations. In Turkey they believe in another god and not the god we believe in and that is why they do not celebrate Christmas.:)
They don’t call him anything. They don’t celebrate Christmas because they are not Christians. Many nations do not celebrate Christmas like the United States.
Santa is a make belief version of st Nicolas , who is/was the saint of children.
Tell your little one that Santa is real for everyone that believes in him. Since the other child is Jewish he doesn't celebrate Christmas, therefor he doesn't believe in Santa. But, since your family does celebrate Christmas, Santa will visit your household!
