Claire's Boutiques are not licensed to provide body piercing services, nor are they inspected to maintain public safety by the health board. The use of piercing guns to pierce anything other than ear lobes is a violation of federal health regulations covering the use of piercing guns.
If you allow them to pierce your ear cartilage with a piercing gun you are accepting all liability for any injuries you may sustain due to your request to have the piercing done. Bottom line if you contract anything due to cross contamination and the nonexistent knowledge of the person using the gun you are on your own.
Forget the ability to sue for injuries due to their stupidity and your own. Be smart see a professional body piercer working in a licensed facility with knowledge and experience not to mention a health inspection report posted on the wall.

First of all let me say that all piercings hurt no matter what they are being done with. Cartilage piercings will hurt even worse because it is so hard. It would take a while to get a knife through it. Also, a knife will not create a clean hole that is symmetrical. And don't forget that you risk getting an infection.
