Actually your period has a lot to do with your growing. When you get your period your about 3/4 of the way done growing. I have a 19 year old daughter who was 10 when she got her period and she did not grow much more after that.
My daughter's doctor told her that she will not grow much more. She started her period at 9. She(the doctor) said that my daughter may squeeze in another inch, but will not have another spurt. She is 5'
