It depends on your body. If you have any type of inflammation or irritation during the 6 weeks then continue to clean with a solution, making sure you are not taking unwashed hands to the area and contaminating it.
4 to 6 weeks
if you have only recently had your navel pierced it is still healing and will hurt for up to the next 4 weeks, it should be kept clean to avoid infection. if it has been over 4 weeks and it still hurts, check for reddness around the area. if it is not red you may have just caught it on something. If it is red, check for any discharge from around the piercing, if that is also present seek medical advice
It can....because the ear isnt used to it being pierced, and it still needs time to get used to something there.but it all depends on how fast you heal.As soon as you can get your hands on earrings .....that are clean, put them through the holes gently and wiggle it around abit. And preferrably always wear studs.....to keep your pierced ears pierced :)
Usually not. But if you talk a lot, play with the piercing, or try to eat solid foods while its healing, it'll delay the healing time and it may extend to 5 weeks. Everyone heals differently but you'll probably only experience a little bit of tenderness in 5 weeks.
From experience if you just got your nose pierced with a stud, you should leave it in for 6 weeks for healing time. After it has healed for the six weeks you can change it as often as you like.
No, but healing can take 6 weeks.
I've had my tonuge pierced for bout 8 weeks .. its normal for your tongue to bleed but if its does go away with in another week or 2 weeks you should have it checked out
It can take anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months
it does hurt if you get your cartilage pierced. It will continue to hurt for about two the four weeks after you get it pierced.
I had my nose pierced six weeks ago and was never warned about risks relating to staying out in the sun too long. I can hardly see the sun as causing a problem with healing - in fact, you get vitamin D from the sun which is important for healing. If you plan on sunbathing for hours on end immediately after the piercing, just make sure you don't get burnt or your skin may start peeling around the piercing and dead skin could get caught and get it infected. But I can't imagine staying out in the sun would be a risk.
A belly-button piercing is usually still healing after 3 weeks, although the swelling and redness should have gone down and should be almost completely gone! If the area still looks irritated/puffy, or red then it's still healing. I hope this helped!(:
From my own experience, lip piercings still hurt a bit after 6 or so weeks. Just have patience and clean it from time to time, it should be fine :)
