yes but you have to thin out the ink some people dont have to it just depends on how the person tattoos and if they know how to without having to thin it out
yes on his left side it is an outline of a bird.
This takes a good eye and experience for the tattoo artist. There are not many that can shade in a tattoo. It is an art and very difficult. Coloring in and shading are different. To shade you need to have a place where a light would shine then make shadows where they would be if it was a picture. Takes skill. __________________________________________________________________ I disagree that shading is hard. If you have any artistic tendencies and can visualise where things will be darker and lighter you can shade a tattoo. It's no different to where you would shade if you were drawing the picture on paper. From a technical point of view, you need to adjust your machine to a longer stroke so it doesn't hit as fast, wind the voltage down, and use a wash set up to get your shade variations. There are a few different hand motions you can use to achieve smooth shading, circling usually provides the nicest and smoothest shade. It takes practice to get used to the speed and size of circling needed to achieve the desired shading. Practice a lot on yourself before attempting to shade a tattoo on someone else.
you have to get a tattoo before.( more than 20)
Smoking marijuana before getting a tattoo should have no effect to the tattoo process. Other pain killers like Advil before a tattoo on the other hand will thin your blood and cause bleeding during the process.
Shading and coloring is the same thing. First thing done is the outline then the shading, its the different forms and ways of shading that is up to the artist to prefer.
no. you must wait until the outline is healed, which is usually a couple of weeks, then go in and have the color or the shading finished.
Yes, you can, but why would you????/ Everything that makes for a good tattoo takes contrast, that is why they are usually outlined in black. Without the black outline the color wouldn't look as crisp and sharp. The only way your brown outine with brown shading would look good would be if you used a really dark brown outline with a lighter brown shading....And you know what the bummer would be? Brown is a color noted for its ability to lose color in the skin.....So think before you act...Tatubaron

How much blood stays on a needle after shading a tattoo?
chances are your outline is done by a 5 or 7 liner (5 or 7 needles grouped tightly together) and your shading/color fill is done with a 7 mag or 14 mag depending on size of tattoo
07 needle grouping Round Liner so now its not a shading needle
An old school tattoo is a tattoo style that was created in America and often has bold lines and heavy shading.
A contour line in art is an outline of a subject with no shading.
An adumbration is an act of shading, a faint sketch, outline, or representation.
